Straight answers to the questions families ask us most. If yours is not here, call any hour and we will answer it.
How fast can you get someone out of the Fresno County Jail?
We can post a bond as soon as bail is set and the paperwork is signed, which often happens within minutes of your call. The release itself is controlled by the jail. At the Fresno County Jail it commonly takes a few hours and can run longer on busy nights or during shift changes. We post quickly and then track the release so you are kept informed.
How much does a bail bond cost?
In California the premium is regulated at 10 percent of the bail amount. If bail is $25,000, the premium is $2,500. The rate is the same at every licensed company because the state sets it. We offer interest free payment plans so you do not have to pay it all at once.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. For qualified co signers we split the regulated premium into interest free monthly payments, often with a reasonable amount down to start. There are no hidden fees added on top. Tell us the bail amount and your budget and we will build a plan that fits.
What does a co signer have to do?
The co signer signs the bail agreement and takes responsibility for making sure the defendant attends every court date. As long as appearances are kept, the obligation ends when the case concludes. We keep co signers informed of every court date so nothing is missed.
Do I need collateral?
Often no. Many bonds are written on a reliable co signer alone. For larger bail amounts an agent may ask for collateral such as a vehicle title or real estate, which is returned once the case ends and the bond is exonerated. We always look for the lightest arrangement that secures the release.
Is the premium refundable if charges are dropped?
No. The premium pays for the service of posting the bond, so it is non refundable even if the charges are later dropped or dismissed. This is standard across California, not specific to Fresno County.
Can I handle the whole thing over the phone or online?
Yes. We can complete the agreement in person, entirely by phone, or through a secure online link. Many families never have to leave home. Whatever is easiest for you at that hour is fine with us.
What information do you need to start?
The full name of the person in custody, the city or jail where they are held, and a date of birth or booking number if you have it. We can look up the rest, including the exact bail amount.
Do you help with bail in the smaller Fresno County cities?
Yes. We serve all fifteen incorporated cities and the unincorporated towns. Whether the arrest was in Fresno, Clovis, Selma, Coalinga, Reedley, or anywhere else in the county, people are generally held at or transferred to the Fresno County Jail downtown, and we handle it.
What if there is a warrant?
We can help arrange a walk through bail so a person with a warrant can resolve it on their own terms rather than being arrested unexpectedly. Call and we will explain how it works for the specific warrant.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes, se habla espanol, any hour. A crisis is no time for a language barrier, and you get the same clear answers and the same care either way.
What happens at the end of the case?
When the case concludes and every court appearance was kept, the bond is exonerated. Any collateral that was pledged is returned to whoever provided it. The premium remains the fee for the service that was performed.
Still unsure about something? That is completely normal. Reach out and a licensed agent will walk you through it, no pressure and no jargon.
